# Pakistan Society of Sugar Technologists (PSST)

> The official website of the Pakistan Society of Sugar Technologists (PSST) — a national professional body of sugar technologists, agronomists, engineers, and researchers serving the Pakistan sugar industry. Founded 1955, affiliated with the International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ISSCT).

## About

PSST is a fraternity of sugar technologists and agronomists working in sugar mills, allied industries, commercial organizations, and research institutions of Pakistan and abroad. Originally formed as the Pakistan Sugar Technologists Association in 1955, the Society adopted its present name in 1966 at the Lahore convention.

Mission: advance standards in sugar manufacturing and agronomy, and help solve the technical, agronomic, and managerial problems faced by the sugar and allied industries in Pakistan.

Activities:
- Annual conventions (held every September since 1955)
- Technical and agricultural workshops (Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Hyderabad)
- Publication of convention proceedings and monthly crushing-season mill results
- Stalls and sponsorship program for industry vendors
